Data Center Systems (DCS) achieves ISO certification

Wednesday April 13, 2005
DALLAS, TX - Data Center Systems (DCS) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification, an internationally recognized quality management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), for its Dallas headquarters and manufacturing facility.

“DCS is focused on providing innovative quality driven data center infrastructure products and solutions for our customers and their businesses”, said Stacy Turner, Quality Insurance Manager at DCS. Achieving ISO certification exhibits the dedication of the DCS team to design and manufacture the highest quality connectivity products on the market.

ISO 9001:2000 applies to organizations involved in the design and development, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of products. To be certified to the standard, companies must implement a comprehensive quality management system that addresses all areas of operation - from internal staff training practices to product design, manufacturing, delivery, and service.

External auditors with BVQI visited DCS headquarters in March 2005 and spent several days conducting a comprehensive audit. BVQI auditors examined all of DCS’ business and quality management systems, including product design and development processes, materials documentation practices, and measurement systems for tracking supplier performance, product performance and customer satisfaction.

DCS successfully completed the audit, and was officially ISO-certified in April 2005. The ISO certification process ensures ongoing compliance because, once certified, companies are externally audited every six months.
